Exercise triggers orgasm, women admit in new study. Ladies, do you find it hard to get out of bed to hit the gym or pavement? If so, here’s the motivation you’ve been looking for. A new study suggests that up to 15 percent of women have orgasms when they exercise.

“It sounds like a pornographic fitness flick: women, sweaty from physical exertion, climaxing at the gym,” quips TIME Magazine. But researchers at Indiana University have confirmed through a study that women can have orgasms while they exercise.

The researchers have even dubbed the phenomenon “coregasm” because it often happens while doing core abdominal muscle exercises. Their findings were published on March 19 in the special issue of the journal Sexual and Relationship Therapy.

Women now pay the price for smoking in the Mad Men era as number of lung cancer cases rises, a United Kingdom charity says.

“You’ve come a long way, baby.” That’s the slogan cigarette maker Altria Group, formerly Phillip Morris Companies, used to sell its Virginia Slims when it first introduced the brand in 1968. Some media watch groups interviewed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention decades later blame this campaign for the rapid increase in smoking among teenage girls in that era.

A report by the United States Surgeon General — famous for being the first in the U.S. to say bravely, in 1964, that smoking caused cancer — interpreted this marketing slogan, as well as later ones, as an attempt to lure women into taking up smoking by linking it “to women’s freedom, emancipation, and empowerment.”

In the United States, more than 425,000 women suffer a stroke each year — about 55,000 more strokes than men suffer, according to the National Stroke Association.

Chemo in pregnancy? Yes, it can be done, study says. It’s an undeniable trend: across the world, a rising number of women today are choosing to delay pregnancy, even in the once-traditional societies of East, South and West Asia.

For the most part, the decision is a good one: it grants women the time, energy and power to build their careers and finances, and prepare for a more financially and emotionally stable family.

Many extraordinary advances in medicine, too, have made it easier for women to get pregnant and have a safe pregnancy later in life. But women of advanced maternal age still have a higher risk for difficult pregnancies and labor, miscarriage, placenta problems, and high blood pressure and diabetes, than younger women.
