Chin surgery skyrockets by 71% in the U.S. With more American career women wanting to look good for video conferencing, and more American male executives wanting to project a strong and decisive CEO-like image, the numbers of ‘chinplants’ — or chin augmentations — carried out in the United States in 2011 have exploding to 20,680.
In fact, chin surgeries have grown more than boob jobs, Botox and liposuction combined, according to new statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The numbers of “chinplants” — the surgical procedure done to enhance and define the chin line — grew by 71 percent in 2011 from 2010.

Is there lead in my lipstick? Yes, there’s lead in your lipstick. The latest update (December 2011) of an U.S Food and Drug Administration analysis of 400 shades of the fastest-selling lipsticks in the United States shows that all 400 of them contain trace amounts of lead.
But will this poison you? Is the amount so tiny that consumers have nothing to be worried about? Or will all those years of applying lipstick several times a day lead to a dangerous accumulation of a dangerous substance?

Fujifilm Corp’s new anti-aging skin cream is picture-perfect in more ways than one. For one, it’s a way the company turned its lemons into lemonade.
As market intelligence site Brand Channel points out, in recent years, photography and film have “shifted 180 degrees,” leaving Fujifilm’s main competitor, Eastman Kodak Co, bankrupt and “in the digital dust.”
But instead of just lying there and taking it, Fujifilm’s successfully navigated turbulent waters while we weren’t looking: It’s diversified out of film into — guess what? — skincare and healthcare products.
